Pineapple Strawberry Swirled Slushies
Ingredients:
For the Pineapple Slush:
- 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 cup pineapple juice (or water for a lighter taste)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, adjust to taste)
For the Strawberry Slush:
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup water or apple juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional, depending on the sweetness of your berries)
Instructions:
- Make the Pineapple Slush:
- In a blender, combine the frozen pineapple chunks, pineapple juice (or water), and honey.
- Blend until smooth and thick. If needed, add more liquid a little at a time to reach slushy consistency.
- Pour into a container and place in the freezer while you make the strawberry slush.
- Make the Strawberry Slush:
- Rinse the blender (or use a second one if available).
- Add the frozen strawberries, water or juice, and sweetener.
- Blend until smooth and slushy. Again, adjust the liquid to control thickness.
- Assemble the Swirled Slushies:
- In serving glasses, alternate layers of pineapple slush and strawberry slush.
- Use a long spoon or straw to gently swirl the two layers together for a marbled effect (don’t overmix).
- Serve immediately with straws or spoons.
Tips:
- For extra flair, garnish with fresh mint or a slice of strawberry/pineapple.
- Freeze your glasses in advance to keep the slushie colder longer.
- Make it boozy by adding a splash of rum or vodka.
